The race starts at Boar’s Head Sports Club. The revised course for 2020 should limit, if not eliminate the two-way traffic of the previous course by skipping the Round Top summit and instead looping around the Boar’s Head grounds. The course has a total distance of 5.19 miles, and total elevation gain (and loss) of 745 ft.
The race is open to all interested racers, runners, and walkers who are members of the Charlottesville Area Trailrunners club.
The Turn & Burn is the
third first race of the Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series.

Ample parking very near the start. Follow Event Parking signs, which will direct you to an early right turn by the first lake. We fill the parking lot by the Foundation building above the start/finish first.
